Gionee phones launched in Nepali market

Teletalk, the authorized dealer and distributor of Gionee smartphones, has launched five different models of smartphones and two other feature phones of Gionee. Gionee Pioneer P3, CTRL V4, M2, G5 and Gionee Elife S5.5 are the models that were launched in the smartphone category.

Likewise, Teletalk has also introduced L206 and L808 models of feature phones of Gionee in the Nepali market. Elife S5.5 is said to be the slimmest smartphone in the world.

The smartphones were launched amid a grand ceremony held in the capital on Friday. With the launch of Gionee here in Nepal, the presence of the phones has reached to 41 countries.

Officials of the smartphones manufacturer Gionee Communication Equipment Co were present at the ceremony. Officials said they plan to bring the Giomee phone sets on the top three list within a year and topmost in the next two years.

According to Sangit Adhikari, regional sales manager of Teletalk, the price range of these newly introduced feature phones will be Rs 3,350 to Rs 3,850, while the smartphones are priced at Rs 10,900 to Rs 36,500. He said customeeers will be able to purchase the newly-introduced phone from Sunday.

He said Gionee runs on Amigo software which is based on Android OS.

“Those who have been using the normal operating system (OS) will get a completely different user experience in these phones,” said Adhikari. “Since the manufacturing company and its research and development team develops the hardware of the phones, they are manufactured according to the demand and preference of the clients.”

It sells over 25 million handsets annually in over 40 countries across the world, reads the statement. Teletalk is also the dealer of Spice and Color mobiles in Nepal.
